IOSH Safety, Health and Environment for Construction Managers Site Refresher (2 Days)

littleman.jpgThe IOSH Managing Safely in Construction is a one day course undertaken every 3 years to update exsisting holders of IOSH's Managing Safely in Construction certificate.

Course Aim

Provides construction managers and supervisors with the latest health and safety knowledge.

Enables them to update their existing knowledge and maintain an appropriate level of awareness in relation to employees and contractors in a construction environment.

Existing IOSH Managing Safely in Construction Certificate Holders

Course Objectives

  • Understand relevant current legislation relating to health and safety in construction
  • Understand codes of practice and guidance notes on compliance
  • Able to use appropriate methods to ascertain the competence of contractors and sub-contractors
  • Decide upon suitable precautions in relation to identified hazards
  • Understand the need for communication with employees and contractors and identification of training needs
  • Able to demonstrate an understanding of risk assessments and identify hazards relative to the construction industry
  • Know the differences in responsibilites in relation to the role of employer, employee, contractor, client and sub-contractor
