Your work force may have the right qualifications and plenty of experience, but if they have a poor attitude towards health and safety then accidents are inevitable as attitude affects behaviour.

Course Aim

The Achieving Behavourial Change (ABC) training course is designed to provide delegates with an understanding of how attitude, behaviour, communication and worker engagement at all levels can help prevent the chances of accidents occurring.

Course Objectives

Upon completion of this course, candidates will be able to:

  • List the basic legal duties of employers and employees
  • Define hazards, risks and control measures
  • Understand the problems with Alpha Sleep in the workplace
  • Understand the link between attitude and behaviour
  • Know how to create positive habits and break old ones
  • Appreciate the benefits of good safety performance
  • Putting ABC into practice using the STAARR and TASK cards - (STAARR) - Stop, Think, Assess, Act, Report, Review and (TASK) -Think first, Act safe, Stop if hazardous and Keep safe

Examination Information

Nine questions incorporating a maximum of 25 answers.
